Introduction — how the team came together

This is where the story of The Lion-Roar of Advait begins — before site work, before foundations, when the people and the idea were still finding each other.

May 2023

Although Adwait and Yogesh are both from Satara and former students of Sainik School, Satara, they had never met. A mutual friend of Yogesh’s, Adish, introduced them.

August 2023

Yogesh and Adwait visited the site together. Adwait agreed to help design Advait — the name Yogesh had already chosen for the home.

November 2023

The first design iteration (v1) was shared.

October 2024

Yogesh and Adwait visited Sahyadri Schools to see Vishal’s current project and meet him for the first time.

January 2025

Vishal visited the site and expressed interest in building the home.

February 2025

The idea of an open project was shared: everything about the build — including costing — would be published openly.

The core aim was not only to erect a building in harmony with Mother Earth, but to make the approach visible and useful by keeping the information in the public domain for others to learn from and improve on.
